The Weekly Agitator was a weekly newspaper published in Ishpeming, Michigan from October 11, 1879 to December 31, 1881. In 1882, it was renamed the Iron Agitator, and in 1886, the Iron Agitator became the Iron Ore newspaper. The Weekly Agitator was published by Newett and McCarthy and was "devoted to the interests of Lake Superior Region in general and the City of Ishpeming in particular" per its masthead. The issues in this collection run from October 1879 to November 1880. There is one missing issue, June 26, 1880, and the May 22, 1880 issue is missing pages 3 and 4.
