Description / Synopsis |
Description / Synopsis
Frank Moody presents about the history of National Mine to prepare the Red Dust students to conduct oral history interviews. Topics include the history of mines in the area, local businesses, schools, living standards, building skis, ethnic groups in the area, and anecdotes about early residents. Around forty minutes into the tape, there is a shift to interviews with employees of the NICE school district. The superintendent discusses recent events at the school, extracurricular activities, and (failed) attempts to recruit more women to leadership roles in the district. At around 59 minutes, Maxine Honkala talks about the Red Dust project. |
