Source: The Daily Mining Journal, Marquette, Mi., Tuesday, May 5, 1885 Ontonagon - The Miner chronicles the completion of the bridge across the west bank of the Montreal river, and that all bridges between that point and Ashl and [Wisconsin] are finished, while but 13 miles of grading remains to be done to have the line ready for the iron through to the lake.
