Description / Synopsis
Photograph of a crew employed by contractor John Marsch. He employed over 400 men when the extension of the Wisconsin & Michigan Railway from Faithorn Junction to Norway began in early June 1903. This photograph was probably taken as work progressed from Norway to Quinnesec. A terminal station for the line was under construction one mile west of Quinnesec by December 1903. Note the small dump cars and the cut-over lands in the background. [Menominee Range Historical Museum] |
