The Weekly Agitator, 1880-10-02

The Weekly Agitator was a weekly newspaper published in Ishpeming, Michigan from October 11, 1879 to December 31, 1881. In 1882, it was renamed the Iron Agitator, and in 1886, the Iron Agitator became the Iron Ore newspaper. The Weekly Agitator was published by Newett and McCarthy and was "devoted to the interests of Lake Superior Region in general and the City of Ishpeming in particular" per its masthead. NOTE: in a few cases where pages were badly creased, a page was scanned twice to allow the scanner to pull out the creases. All text should be visible in at least one scan of the page.
