Anita Meyland (born 1897) was an artist, the founder of many artistic organizations, and the wife of Gunther Meyland, an English professor at Northern Michigan University. She gives a summary of her life, including her family, her childhood in Milwaukee, chores, recreation, education, holidays, medical care, her career as a teacher, moving to Marquette in 1924, technology, the snowstorm of 1938, how she became interested in art, and starting the Art on the Rocks festival. |
