Wesley Williams scrapbook

The Wesley Williams scrapbook documents the Calumet community and mining industry through newspaper clippings, political cards and community club invitations. The scrapbook was compiled around 1950, and its contents range from the 1910s to the 1940s. Prominent topics include the Calumet and Hecla copper mining strike of 1913-1914 and the Italian Hall disaster. The physical collection is maintained by the Calumet Public-School Library, and the digital collection was originally part of the Superiorland Library Cooperative's Upper Peninsula Regional Digitization Center.
